Autorenporträt
In 1978 Chris Schimel accepted his first senior pastorate position, an inner-city church in South Gate, California. It was here he and his wife, Shirley, received a crash course in ministry, affecting the lives of gang members, murderers, prostitutes, drug addicts, and the like. During this ministry they saw more than two thousand people give their hearts to Christ in seven years and watched their church grow from sixty to over four hundred. In 1986 Chris went back to school to obtain his master of divinity degree from Oral Roberts University. In 1994 he took his family to Boulder, Colorado, where he planted a church and served as senior pastor until early 2005. Currently, Chris and his wife make their home in western New York.
