Autorenporträt
Eliana Taeko Salter, born in Brazil to Japanese parents, grew up as one of six children. Following in her father's footsteps, she earned a dentistry degree from USP in São Paulo, one of the world's top dental schools, and built a thriving practice. She was happily married and surrounded by a loving community of family and friends. However, her life was shattered in May 1992 by a horrific car accident that killed her parents and first husband. Eliana survived but was left emotionally devastated, struggling with PTSD, severe depression, agoraphobia, panic attacks, and even suicidal spells. Determined to heal, Eliana embarked on a profound personal journey. Avoiding medication, she explored holistic and natural approaches, drawing from many wisdom traditions and over a decade of Jungian therapy with the renowned Dr. Angelo Spoto. She deepened her healing through cognitive neuroscience, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), guided neuroplasticity, and meditation. Eliana worked with world-class mentors like Linda Chandler and Marcia Wieder, ultimately embracing her calling as a "wounded healer." Inspired by her experiences, Eliana wrote Touchstones for the Heart: A Guide Out of Hell(TM), a practical, heartfelt book blending decades of study, her own healing, and the stories of those she has guided. Her journey deepened when she became a caregiver for a close friend with cancer and later faced her own battle with early-stage breast cancer. Now cancer-free, Eliana remains committed to helping others navigate trauma, disease, and uncertainty using the tools that helped her survive and thrive. Eliana teaches people to find the "eye of the hurricane," a place of calm and inner peace, no matter life's chaos. By blending compassion with practical tools, she empowers others to reclaim their lives, heal from pain, and rediscover joy. Her life's work demonstrates that even the darkest times can lead to profound transformation. If you're ready to Shift Your Heart(TM), Eliana can guide you toward healing and possibility.
