Autorenporträt
John Holliday grew up in England but spent much of his life as a business entrepreneur in Canada and Australia. His interest in writing developed when he decided to pen a memoir of his business life, which was published as "Toughing it Out: Adventures of a Global Entrepreneur". This experience prompted him to write "Mission to China", initially published in England and followed by a Chinese edition in Taiwan. "Mission to China" is a biography of Walter Henry Medhurst, John's 2nd great grandfather, and a well-known missionary to China. While researching for this book, John discovered the remarkable life of Clara Colby, whose grandmother was Walter Medhurst's sister, and he was inspired to make her the subject of his next book. This book was published as "Clara Colby: The International Suffragist". John and his wife Colleen reside in Queensland, Australia.
