Spa tourism is well known since ancient times and it is also appreciated by many people at present. Knowing the mineral and thermal-mineral water resources, their composition, their characteristics, temperature and debit is essential for the durable development of spa tourism in a certain area. Timi County is situated in the western part of Romania, and it is included in the Euro-region Danube- Cri - Mure Tisa. On this territory, there are several forms of tourism: tourism traffic, spa tourism, leisure and business tourism, cultural historical tourism, wine tourism, sports tourism, hunting and fishing tourism. This county has important resources of mineral and thermal-mineral waters which have significant characteristics and have been used in treating various diseases.
