Governance for Sustainable Tourism development ensures the needs of local communities and tourists with respectfulness for nature and socio-cultural values.Thailand is one of the popular coastal tourism destinations in the Southeast Asia region. The significant growth of coastal tourism destinations in Thailand disturbs economic, social, and environmental sustainability intensified by tourism stakeholders' inadequate cooperation in planning and management mechanisms. This research is essential to investigate tourism governance and its impacts in the case study of the Cha-am coast in Phetchaburi Province, Western Gulf of Thailand (WGOT). The study uses combined quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods over document review, field observation, semi-structured key informant interview, and household questionnaire survey. The study examines a typology of tourism governance and its contribution to the local tourism management and development practices of the local tourism sectors. It likewise assesses the households' perceived impact of tourism development on the coastal communities.
