In this regards, the capacity of Case Based Reasoning (CBR) to remember precedent cases should play an important role in generating creative solutions. In this book, creativity and its varied definitions have been extensively discussed; the CBR s creativity has been reviewed through the latest CBR applications and models since 1980s; a creative process model is proposed and a creative CBR model has been developed; and then a Knowledgeable Creative Problem Solving (KCPS) methodology has been propounded particularly by integrating the CBR to fulfill the function of knowledge provision during the process of generating creative solutions.

Dr Zhiqiang Zhu received his PhD degree in the School of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, University of South Australia in 2009. His research interests are in the areas of artificial intelligence, case based reasoning, creative problem-solving methodology, innovative product design methodology, and supply chain management.
