Louis is fighting for the rights of cats. He says: "Trouble is, in society, we're bottom of the list. Of rights, we have none. We are disenfranchised. That means we can't vote. Louis is fighting for the rights of cats. He says: "Trouble is, in society, we're bottom of the list. Of rights, we have none. We are disenfranchised. That means we can't vote. There are no votes for cats. That is why I am beginning this consciousness-raising campaign, working towards a Parliament for Cats. For we are not merely miaow-machines, tender on the tactile; we are not just moggies, four-legged, friendly, furry and cute; we are feline fellahs and fellarinas, guys and dolls with brains, hopes and ambitions. We have our dreams. Mine is for a full parliament of cats, all seats filled after being duly contested, so we can begin the true democratisation of the feline kingdom. Let's fight for the rights of moggies!"

Autorenporträt
My name is Louis and I'm a North London cat - London Borough of Barnet (West) to be precise. I'm grateful to Geoff for his help with this book. He's not a bad chap - a writer of course, a retired journalist in fact and a friend to cats. He and his missus have been married for over 50 years and they've had three children but, more to the point, they've looked after six cats in that time. Our book not only talks about our rights but I've managed to make him see life from a cat's point of view. So anyone lucky enough to be sharing their home with a cat - or anyone else of course - may find something to smile about, even laugh out loud, especially children or parents reading this book to their children. Not only that but there's the story of Lavender Isle and how I met the lovely Minnie. She's quite tiny with lovely white fur. Tell you more later!
