The concept of Social Transformation encompasses different topics. It is explicitly an accumulative process of not only new changes but also traditional elements transformed and adapted to the new structure of the society. All the subjects discussed in this work are related to this definition. A strong theoretical framework was developed from the major theories of social change and social transformation in order to understand what sort of transformation is needed and how to bring it about. The experiences of Rwanda as a country with a very complex history of genocide against Tutsis but most importantly a country with various examples of successful social transformations, are used for a better understanding of the concept and how it is reflected into practical life.
