Amanda E. Doyle is a writer and curious citizen whose past books include 100 Things to Do in St. Louis Before You Die and St. Louis Sound, An Illustrated Timeline. She has lived with her family three blocks south of Tower Grove Park since the late '90s, and has climbed trees, caught crawdads, and bought Japanese turnips there without knowing nearly as much as she knows now about its story.
