Traces of My Black Lipstick is a collection of poems, I wrote when my mother was ill. During that time, I was unemployed, single and in desperate need of a hand to hold but instead I found a pen. In this book, I reflect on my love life, financial struggles, experiences with racism and family issues. This poetry is sensual, Afrocentric, honest, awe-inspiring and blunt at times. My aim is to leave a black lipstick stain on your heart.
