This book entitled Charting Subversive Paths in Second Life: A Collection of Personal Field Journals from a Feminist Autonethnographic Experience aims to present data collection models in the dynamic and complex field of virtual worlds. These data were compiled as a personal field diary, guided by a methodology under construction: feminist auto-nethnography (Galvis, 2019).Feminist autonethnography is a methodological design that emerged from my doctoral thesis "Exploding Spheres: Gender Subversion in Second Life through Incarnate Reflexivity", whose research question was formulated as follows: is it possible, based on an exercise in reflexivity, to produce subversive gender subjectivities in a virtual world like Second Life? The general objective was to identify actions of gender subversion in the virtual world Second Life taking into account the experience of embodying a digital cyberbody (avatar) and the reflection on the gender world that this provokes.
