Canines are the cornerstones of the upper jaw that determine the beauty of the face. Its position in the arch is crucial for both aesthetics and functional aspects. It is the second most common tooth to get impacted after third molars. We have to depend on radiographs to localize the impacted maxillary canines before surgically approaching them. Even in this decade of three dimensional radiography, we found the reliability of the two dimensional radiographs especially the panoramic radiographs for the localisation of impacted maxillary canines. We are glad to introduce our new tool and techniques in this aspect through this book.
