Renato Flôres is Professor at the Graduate School of Economics and Director of the International Intelligence Unit, both at FGV, Rio de Janeiro, as well as co-ordinator of the Jean Monnet Project on Atlantic Studies. He was President of the Steering Committee of programme PEP (Poverty and Economic Policy), and President of the Brazilian chapter of the European Community Studies Association. He held top positions in the Brazilian government, at the federal (Ministry of Planning) and state (Rio de Janeiro) levels. Francine Martin is an International Intelligence Analyst at FGV IIU, Rio de Janeiro. She holds a degree in International Relations from Estácio de Sá University and a master course in Foreign Trade and International Negotiations at FGV. Francine previously worked in multinational companies dedicated to Foreign Trade and International Business.
