This study describes the increased trade in Africa, essentially in the Kongo, Kakongo, Ngoyo, and Loango territories, in the 18th and 19th centuries. Along with the slave trade, the most common commercial practice at the time, and in relation to foreign demand, it analyzes the trade of other products in the kingdoms of Kongo, Kakongo, Ngoyo and Loango and the causes of the weakening of the central power of the indigenous authorities for Europeans.
