Irfan Shahid si è laureato in Studi sulla Sharia presso la Jamiatul Falah. Ha inoltre studiato Economia e Banca presso l'Università di Loughborough, Regno Unito. Il Prof. Shahid ha insegnato Sharia ed Economia in vari college e università in India e all'estero. È autore di numerose ricerche, articoli e libri sulla finanza, l'economia e il settore bancario islamici.
