The present investigation revealed that the people of Sarai Mughal community know the traditional uses of more than 100 plants. Out of which 35 unique plants used by the people of other areas. Data were collected from 40 families and more then twenty traditional Hakims of the local community through questionnaires. Usage of these herbal plants mainly is to treat Gynecological associated disease with lactation and menstrual problems, fungal growth, lecoria. Others are related with stomach problems, toothache, ear pain, loss of hair, nails protection, skin problems, diabetes, blood pressure, jaundice, itching, mouth secretions and cough etc. Date of dosage forms (inhalation, oral administration), method of preparation of drugs and dosage administration were also reported. The study reveals that the traditional medicinal herbs play a vital role in primary healthcare system of the Sarai Mughal community and the knowledge received from them will be very useful in further research.
