Published in partnership with the Dunlop Art Gallery in Regina and AKA artist-run in Saskatoon to document the exhibitions during Summer 2014 which brought together Canadian and international emerging and senior artists from across artistic disciplines. Tragedy Plus Time features full color installation images of both exhibitions, as well as two critical essays by the exhibition curators and a speculative essay on the tragicomic impulse in art practices by a guest writer. Jennifer Matotek is Director/Curator at the Dunlop Art Gallery. Blair Fornwald is Assistant Curator at the Dunlop Art Gallery, and Wendy Peart is Curator of Education and Community Outreach. Michael Davidge is an artist, writer and independent curator who lives in Ottawa, Ontario. He has written articles on art and culture for Border Crossings and C Magazine. Dagmara Genda is an artist who has exhibited widely across Canada and internationally. She has had solo exhibitions at the Walter Philips Gallery, Banff; the Esker Foundation, Galgary; KWt Contemporary, Toronto.
