Danita Dodson is a poet, teacher, and literary scholar from East Tennessee. She is the author of two other poetry collections, Trailing the Azimuth and The Medicine Woods. She is also coeditor of Teachers Teaching Nonviolence. Dodson holds a PhD in English from the University of Southern Mississippi.
