Matthew S. Ibrahim is a strength and conditioning coach, college professor, public speaker, and author. His professional journey is marked by a series of pivotal roles, including gym co-owner, director of strength and conditioning, and internship coordinator. Currently, he serves as clinical coordinator and as an instructor of exercise science at Endicott College, and he volunteers as a strength and conditioning coach for their NCAA Division III student-athletes. He also serves as co-advisor of the Exercise Science Club and co-advisor of The Hidden Opponent at Endicott College. In addition, he is an adjunct instructor of exercise science and an advisory board member at Maryville University. As the founder of Athletic Performance University (APU), Matthew has created an impactful online mentorship program designed to elevate the career cornerstone skills of coaching, creating, and communicating for strength and conditioning coaches as well as exercise science students. APU is a leading education company approved by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) for 1.4 continuing education units (CEUs). Matthew’s influence extends nationally and internationally as a sought-after public speaker who has presented in over 25 U.S. states for the NSCA, Perform Better, EXOS at Google, Sports Academy (formerly Mamba), UFC Performance Institute, Duke University, Stanford University, and Equinox, along with several engagements in Europe. His professional work and expertise have been featured in leading platforms and publications, including Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Journal, Personal Training Quarterly, Science for Sport, and T Nation. Matthew is deeply committed to education and professional development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise and health sciences from University of Massachusetts Boston and a master’s degree in sport performance from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU). He is currently a PhD candidate in human and sport performance at RMU and a master’s student in sport leadership at Endicott College. Matthew is a member of the NSCA, holds their Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential, and serves as a Massachusetts state advisory board member. He also holds the Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) credential through Cortiva Institute, and he is beginning studies in organizational leadership from Harvard Business School in 2025.
