Rezensionen
This book is a truly unique and valuable contribution to the field. It is not only a history, but also a theoretical analysis of the problem of portraiture, as well as a guide to the practice of making imagery itself. . . It is exceptionally well illustrated with contemporary and historical work, and is very catholic in its approach to the medium and the multiple concerns of portraiture in the numerous genres of camera image making.
