The units in the text have been written in a very simple language for a better understanding of the rudiments and management principles involved in establishing a goat farm as a profitable business enterprise for improved livelihoods of farmers.

Dr. Kalio is a Senior Lecturer in the Department Agricultural Science, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His research interest is in the evaluation of locally utilized feedstuffs by ruminants using in-vivo and in-vitro gas production techniques. He has published 34 journal articles, 2 book chapters and 1 text book.
