This paper systematizes the need to introduce a Local Agricultural Innovation System, highlighting the need to train its facilitators. Due to the above, the following question arises: how to contribute to the training of facilitators of agricultural development and innovation at local level in the province of Ciego de Avila in Cuba? Thus, the purpose is to propose a diploma course based on the principles of Education for Development that contributes to the training of facilitators of agricultural development and its innovation at the local level in the province of Ciego de Avila. Methods such as: document analysis, survey and discussion groups were used to gather information about the sociocultural reality, as a unit of analysis. The practical contribution of the research is manifested in a curricular design of a diploma course based on the principles of Education for development in the management of a Local Agricultural Innovation System in the province of Ciego de Avila.
