CBET is the specification of knowledge, skills and attitudes, and the application of the same to the standard of performance expected in the workplace. CBET can be viewed as a way of approaching vocational training that puts much emphasis on what a person can do as a result of training, and as such represents a shift away from an emphasis on the process involved in the training. The purpose of this manual is to provide a clear roadmap on how to train trainers to develop competency-based curricula based on occupational standards. The manual has also given guidelines and procedures for developing training programs and training and learning standards. The process of task analysis and competency-based assessment have also been given.
