The present study examined how age and gender influence transfer of learning or training. The experiment was a 2x2 factorial design with 2 levels of age (18-22 & 23-28) and with 2 levels of gender (male & female) using a dart. 56 undergraduate students of University of Jos, Jos,Plateau State, Nigeria were randomly selected and assigned to the experimental and control conditions. Both conditions were required to throw 3 darts in task one and 3 darts in task two. In between task one and two the experimental condition was instructed on bad dart throwing habits while the control condition used their un-preferred hand. Average score for each task was analyzed with SPSS 11. The finding on age was not statistically significant (p0.05) which is consistent with Libert & Wicks - Nelson (1981). Gender also was not statistically significant (p0.05) which is consistent with Hyde, (2005). The interaction effects of age and gender was not statistically significant (p0.05).
