Organic agriculture promotes biodiversity and maintains the integrity of the ecosystem. For increasing production and productivity of crops, farmers have started different techniques in agriculture. Farmers are using excessive chemical fertilizers and pesticides on all crops. The chemicals and pesticides have contaminated almost every part of an environment. Pesticide contamination poses significant risks to the environment and non-target organisms ranging from beneficial soil microorganisms to insects, plants, fishes, and birds. The pregnant women, children, and old people are victims of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Health effects of pesticides range from mild allergies, rashes, breathing difficulties and reproductive abnormalities to deadly chronic diseases like cancer. Now it is an urgent need to look for organic agriculture. It is the only way for sustainable agriculture.
