This tutorial is based on the study of the use of transformations in the translation of dialogic speech in a cinematic text based on the British feature film "Breathe" directed by Andy Serkis, released in 2017, and its official translation into Russian, which in dubbing is called "Breathe for us". During the study of film dialogues in English and Russian, 180 contexts of using a variety of translation transformations were identified. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that its results can be used in teaching translation to students of higher education institutions in language specialties.
