Autorenporträt
Carrie Wright-Christopher is a poet and author who has enjoyed more than five decades of inspired writing. Long before her compositions received notice from teachers, professors, and others, her innate abilities confirmed her identity as a true writer. Her inquisitive nature and love of learning led to her first master's degree in library science from Queens College and a lengthy stint as a professional librarian. She received a second master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University, an undertaking that was both an exercise in self-discovery and a necessary step in determining her future path. After publishing her first novel, A Lucky Turn, she began assembling a more personal book of her past and current writings and photographs. Transformed: Poetry and Prose of a Changed Life is a photo- and autobiographical account of her journey through adulthood told in an insightful collection of writings that is organized by emotional signposts. Carrie currently assists individuals with developmental disabilities in Upstate New York. She lives the rural life with Dave Christopher, her beloved husband, who has traveled with her through a meaningful journey of learning and grace.
