The present Jonathan administration has the transformation of Nigeria as its agenda. This lofty goal is informed by the rot that has bedeviled every sector of the national economy. The Nigerian legal system as the bedrock of the society has also had its share of the quagmire. It is however trite that no transformation or reform can take place in the midst of an ineffective legal system as any revolution in the society must begin with the system of justice. The Nigerian legal system comprising of the Bench, the Bar, the law enforcement agencies, the prisons, and the legislature need overhauling for national transformation.
