Trauma and Miscellaneous Disorders in Retina is one of nine volumes in the series Retina Atlas. This series provides comprehensive information on vitreoretinal diseases, covering imaging basics, retinal vascular disease, ocular inflammatory disease, retinal degeneration, retinal surgery, macular disorders, ocular oncology, pediatric retina and trauma.

Eduardo Büchele Rodrigues is an Affiliated Professor of Ophthalmology at the Federal University of Säo Paulo. He graduated in medicine at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 1998, and completed his doctoral and postdoctoral degrees at the Federal University of Säo Paulo. He has published around 160 scientific articles in leading international journals such as Archives of Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology, and Retina, and he is one of the editors of the major international book on the use of medications in the treatment of retinal diseases, Retinal Pharmacotherapy, published in 2010, and is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Retina and Vitreous. He has presented more than 250 papers at national and international conferences, and received 19 awards at congresses. Carsten Helmut Meyer III holds an M.D. degree and is a specialist in vitreoretinal diseases. He attended medical schools in Freiburg, Innsbruck, and Oxford and received his medical degree from the University of Munich, Germany. Dr. Meyer completed his residency at the University Eye Hospital, Luebeck, Germany, and in 1999 pursued a 2-year vitreoretinal research fellowship at the Duke Eye Center, Durham, NC. He served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology, Philipps-Universität, Marburg, and as a Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Bonn. Dr. Meyer is an editorial board member of several ophthalmic journals and serves as a reviewer for more than 65 peer-reviewed journals. He has published several book chapters, and 240 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He received the AAO Achievement Award (2008), is a member of the Retina Society, Club Jules Gonin, EURETINA, Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft (DOG), and is listed in Marquis Who's Who and ORBIS. He is also a dedicated examiner on the panel of the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO).  Eduardo Tomazoni graduated in medicine from the University of Joinville Region and qualified as an ophthalmologist at Governador Celso Ramos Hospital, in Florianópolis-SC, Brazil. He is currently working as a Retina Fellow at Lumine Institute, Florianópolis-SC, Brazil. He is a member of the Brazilian Ophthalmology and is also a reviewer for the International Journal of Retina and Vitreous.
