Your heart is a powerful muscle, protected by your rib cage and covered by a thin layered sac. Imagine the pain it feels to have your rib cage broken in order to unprotect the heart and cause your heart to break or to cause trauma to your heart. Trauma can affect us in so many different ways, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically! One of the main effects of traumais what it does to the mind, body and soul. At times trauma has a way of remaining with us even when we think we are beyond the experience, when we think we have healed and moved forward and have prospered and excelled in life. One day something can happen and it can trigger the very emotion, the very feeling, the instance in which you FIRST felt the trauma and just like that, you're back in time. Your heart is beating rapidly, your mind is running a complete marathon, you're having trouble being able to breathe, you're panicked and there isn't anything that you can do besides either have a drink, take a pill, smoke a blunt or eat an edible! That is what my life had become, trauma was taking over and I was not mastering it, it was mastering me. Many people thought I was strong, I was resilient, I was an overcomer, and looked to me as inspiration and hope, and I honestly thought I was as well. But for two years I battled and struggled, for two years I was stuck, for two years I did not advance as I was expecting. So I had to take a step back, I had to rewind time and think about my life, about my childhood and about the time I made a life-altering decision that shaped every decision that I made thereafter. Welcome to "Trauma of the Heart: Remaining Faithful in what Man says is Impossible." Journey with me as I take you on a 21 day journey through life, life's experiences and life's traumas which affect the heart.
