Autorenporträt
Pierre Winters was born in Hasselt, Belgium. After more than 30 years of a successful career in a publishing house, he became a children's book author. I'm Tineke Meirink (1972). Drawing is something I've been doing my entire life, but when I was 18 I decided I wanted to make my living out of it. I studied graphic design at the Academy of Visual Arts in Den Bosch and graduated in 1995. Since then I've been an illustrator. I get to draw for various children's books publishers, the television show Sesame Street and several children's magazines. I also like to create free work, because it keeps me fresh. Occasionally I give creative workshops at grade schools. I live just outside the city of Groningen (the Netherlands) with my husband and daughters.
