Shlomo Berger, Ph.D. (1987), Hebrew University, is Lecturer in Hebrew and Jewish Studies, University of Amsterdam. His publications include Revolution and Society in Greek Sicily (Stuttgart, 1992), Classical Oratory and the Sephardim of Amsterdam (Hilversum, 1996) and a series of articles in the field of Yiddish culture.
