A childhood stroke limited Renee's mobility on her left side. Parkinson's restricts movement on her right. Sensing that she was running out of sides, Renee applied for a service dog. Sir Thomas has been by her side ever since. Trained as a balance and mobility dog, Thomas assists by providing stability and support in the house, garden, and around town. Together, they've been to restaurants, markets, shops, hair salons, airports (including restrooms), airplanes (not including the restroom), trains, ferries (his least favorite mode of transportation), beaches, and parks. As a team, they've presented on service dogs and handlers for hospitals, schools, police departments, Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Clubs.
