Autorenporträt
Born in the city of Calcutta from India, Bharati Chowdhury took her bachelor's degree with economics honors from Presidency College. She was awarded with University medal for her first-class master's degree in economics from Calcutta University. She took another MSc degree from Birkbeck College, University of London, where she worked as part-time lecturer for several years. Bharati worked as assistant professor of economics in Bethune College, India, for twenty years and she was a lecturer in economics in the University of Westminster in London for twenty-five years. She was invited as a poet and joined in the Literary Seminar five times in USA and Canada in the North America Bengali Conference. Her name was published in Who's Who International, 2011. Bharati published five books of short stories and poetry in Bengali, all were displayed in Calcutta Book Fair. She regularly contributes her poems and short stories in journals published from USA and India. Bharati has dedicated her retired life after writing and shining in the literary world.
