Separate chapters cover special issues in treatment of sexual offenders, offenders with mental retardation, and juvenile offenders. Throughout, the approaches featured are interdisciplinary and eclectic, incorporating biological and psychological perspectives.

Robert M. Wettstein, MD, is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He was formerly the Editor of Behavioral Sciences and the Law and has published widely in the area of mental health and the law.
