Autorenporträt
Zhijun Peng, Ph.D., is a Professor of Sustainable Energy Engineering at the University of Lincoln, UK. Previously, he was a Professor of Engineering at the University of Bedfordshire and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sussex. He received his Ph.D. from the National Engine Combustion Lab (State Key Lab of Engines) at Tianjin University in 1996 for research on the investigation of high-pressure fuel injection and spray characteristics. Dr. Peng spent four years as a research fellow at Brunel University and two years as a senior development engineer at Ford Motor Company. Dr. Peng's research interest lies in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and combustion, with applications on flows and combustion in IC engines, gas turbines, fuel cells, and other sustainable energy systems. His research has involved numerical simulation and experimental investigation, including various laser diagnostics. His recent research has contributed to sustainable vehicle powertrains, non-carbon water transport technology, and combination of solar PV and thermal energy efficiency improvement. He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and a member of the IMechE Professional Review Committee. He was an invited Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and an Associate Editor of the IET journal  Electronics Letters.
