Stewart Ross, an award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction for readers of all ages, is one of Britain's most popular and versatile writers. In addition to fiction and non-fiction, his more than 330 published titles include plays, librettos and the text of a musical for voice and orchestra. Stewart lectures in France and the UK, gives talks, runs workshops and visits schools. He is a journalist and occasional broadcaster. In his spare time, Stewart enjoys travel, food, sport, theatre, photography, art and music. He lives near Canterbury with his wife Lucy and, occasionally, their four children and three grandchildren. He began his career studying art and design at school and 3D animation at university. After graduating, he worked briefly as a graphic designer, 2D animator and illustrator. He now makes a living writing picture books and fiction. Chris has illustrated books for fantastic authors such as Peter Bently, Maz Evans, Lucy Rowland and Kes Gray.
