"Tricentennial is a fast read. Handelman's writing is crisp and clean and confident. He's funny and smart. I feel like I'm in the hands of a pro all the way through. Reminds me of the work of Philip Roth and Tom Robbins¿. That same brand of humor and intelligence, and a thread of barely bridled mania." -TJ Beitelman, author of "Communion," stories, and John the Revelator, novel.
