Jon Fosse, nacido en Haugesund (Noruega) el 29 de septiembre de 1959, está considerado uno de los autores más importantes de nuestro tiempo. Ha recibido incontables premios internacionales y noruegos. Galardonado con el Premio Nobel de Literatura 2023, es algo más que un autor de éxito, sus obras son difíciles de catalogar, la experiencia de su lectura es única. Posiblemente sea el autor actual de teatro más representado en el mundo. Al otorgarle el Nobel, la Academia Sueca lo comparó con Samuel Beckett, Franz Kafka, Georg Trakl y Thomas Bernhard. Jon Fosse was born in 1959 on the west coast of Norway and is the recipient of countless prestigious prizes, both in his native Norway and abroad. Since his 1983 fiction debut, Raudt, svart (Red, Black) Fosse has written prose, poetry, essays, short stories, children's books, and over forty plays, with more than a thousand productions performed and translations into fifty languages
