Autorenporträt
Rachel Shankles, an award winning library media specialist retired to the Triple S Farm, near Bismarck, AR, with her husband in 2013 after teaching 42 years. The farmhouse at Triple S is over 100 years old and has a big red barn behind it, lots of trees, and many native animals. Her youngest grandchildren have always loved taking long walks on the farm with their Nana and making up stories about things they see and find. Blair is now a teenager and Ben is two years behind her; they live in Damascus, AR, and enjoy reading, hiking, camping and caring for their chickens, rabbits and cats. Their visits to Nana and Grandpa's farm are always exciting. Rachel has gone back to work in the library field but enjoys traveling, reading and volunteering in her spare time.
