Autorenporträt
Andy Child has a Degree in Electrical Engineering, and, after a brief career in the telecoms industry, turned a hobby into a vocation by restoring classic cars professionally. He joined the long established firm of Rees Bros in Aldershot, Hants, as a partner, and has now been running it for over 36 years. In recent years, he has been a co-director with his foreman and son-in-law, Richard Battyll, and his office manager and daughter, Sarah Battyll. Andy has decades of experience successfully restoring and tuning Triumph TRs with his small, highly skilled and enthusiastic workforce in his family-run restoration firm.   Sarah Battyll grew up with her dad working in the classic car restoration business and driving classic cars, so she has a real appreciation and love of classic cars.  She has a Degree in Photography and Media, and a Masters Degree in Publishing. This has allowed her to offer her support, expertise and enthusiasm to her dear dad, Andy Child, by being part of the team running their family run classic car restoration firm, Rees Bros in Aldershot. Sarah is married to Richard Battyll, Rees Bros’ very experienced workshop foreman who is now also a director.
