Christa has always had a love for children's picture books. She has created art her entire life, drawing, painting, and even sculpting whimsical characters. Recently, Christa decided to realize her goal of publishing a picture book. In May, 2020, Christa wrote and illustrated "My New Mask" to help explain to children why they need to wear a face covering during the Covid-19 Pandemic. She created this to benefit Mundelein Parks Foundation which assists with recreational scholarships to financially disadvantaged members in her community. Christa is grateful for her family who has supported and encouraged all of her creative endeavors. She is a member of Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
