This shaman created the Water Babies legend because of the great sorrow he felt for his people after this traumatic event. Dante' P. Chelossi Jr. grew up in the Nevada desert listening to a Native American legend called "The Water Babies." He resides in Eureka, California, in Humboldt County, with his wonderful wife, Sprite; his Basenji dog; and his two cats. He works as a security screener at the Humboldt County Courthouse.
