Truth, Lies and Deceit reveals through its short stories the rather warped and even bizarre values that permeate the daily lives of people in any number of venues. People like us? Well, of course not. Except... Well, perhaps you should take a look. There's Hello George where a key senatorial aide finds himself driving the Senator's favorite car around the Washington Beltway at 2am in the morning and cannot remember how he came to be there. In Neophyte a fledgling university public relations officer attends his first board of trustees meeting and at dinner finds himself seated between a predator heiress and a hail-fellow-well-met, much too likeable misogynist homophobe. In Gohn, a family foundation executive director and her father make their first site visit to a well-regarded social service organization only to discover that it is in part financed by a very shady "philanthropist." Sandhill Crane Estates follows the downfall of a Florida neighborhood association tyrant. Race Day is a kick ass high seas sailing adventure that finds a group of clueless 30 somethings caught in series a squalls and drifting toward the rocky Tortola shoreline in a disabled charter sailboat. A Little White Lie shows a bishop struggling with how to best save her diocese through approaching a very wealthy couple and recognizing that as part of the process she must lie in a manner as grandiose as it is ridiculous. And so it goes. Twelve stories for your reading pleasure.
