Preparations are underway for a school fun run, and everyone's a bit on edge! What if I'm not as fast and fit as everyone else? What if people laugh at or tease me? This book explores scenarios that all young readers will relate to - things that seem impossibly hard, need practice or simply require a big effort. We all have that little voice of doubt in our heads, but how do we encourage kids not to let it drown their confidence or stop them from trying new things? Try Your Best, Forget the Rest explores scenarios that all young readers will relate to - things that seem impossibly hard, need practice or simply require a big effort. With hilarious illustrations by Heath McKenzie, this book teaches the valuable lesson that sometimes it's more important to try your best than to focus on the end result. We can do so much (and have a lot of fun) if we just try!

Autorenporträt
Heath McKenzie lives and works in a very small suburb in Melbourne, Australia and has worked with numerous clients and publishers worldwide. Along with illustration (which he's been doing professionally since 2003) and writing (which he's been getting away with since 2013) he's managed to sneak in the odd bit of design work along the way. When not drawing he's busily helping raise a little family with his lovely wife, collecting an unnecessary amount of toys and books and occasionally attempting ambitious culinary feats in the kitchen. He also enjoys possibly a bit too much tea.
