Autorenporträt
Dr Amin Heidarpour is the Head of Structures Group and Coordinator of Engineering for Extremes at Civil Engineering Department, Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). His research focus is on structural and computational mechanics, with specific application to construction materials and tubular structures subjected to extreme actions such as fire, blast and earthquake. His group is the first to develop innovative fabricated tubular members to facilitate the use of Grade 1200 ultra-high strength steel (UHSS) in civil engineering construction which has led to two patents. Prof Xiao-Ling Zhao holds the Chair of Civil Engineering at Monash University. He is a Fellow of American Society of Civil Engineers, Engineers Australia, and International Institute for FRP in Construction, and served as a member on the ERA (Excellence in Research for Australia) Research Evaluation Committee for Engineering and Environmental Sciences Cluster in 2015. He was the Head of Department of Civil Engineering at Monash University from 2008 to 2011.
