Autorenporträt
Wagtown is a charitable organization that helps communities become more dog friendly. Since launching Wagtown in 2016, the author has interviewed more than 600 community leaders, elected officials, animal welfare advocates, grassroots groups, and others. She learned from the successes and failures in what Miller refers to as the "Dogification of America." Throughout her research across the United States, it became obvious to Miller that she needed to speak to children about dogs and their effect on our lives. Enter Beth's first book - a children's book called, "Tucker Finds His Forever Home." The book features beautiful watercolor artwork artist Erica Schindler. The book is about empathy and humane treatment of animals as seen through the eyes of an abandoned young pitbull dog. The book addresses topics like self-worth, discrimination, safety, emotions, and bullying. The story also focuses on some key messages about hope, resilience, and love. The story is inspiring, touching, fun to read and listen to, and full of opportunities to cheer for the main character throughout his journey. 100% of Wagtown's book proceeds go to animal welfare projects and programs. Yes, 100%. The more books we can get to kids, the larger the impact we can have on the welfare of animals in our communities. Dogs make the world a better place. Now, it's time to make the world a better place for them. Erica Schindler is an up-and-coming children's book author. This book is her first adventure into watercolor illustrations for kids. Her love of compelling stories, emotionally rich imagery, and dogs made her the perfect artistic partner to bring Tucker's story to life.
