Miembro de la Unión de Escritores de Ucrania, miembro de PEN Internacional, académico de la Academia de las Artes de Kazajistán. Autor de 9 monografías, entre ellas "La innovación como tradición", "Kazajstán postsoviético", "Multiculturalismo: pro y contra", "El artista Tokbulat Toguzbayev". Vive en Kiev.
