This picture book is cleverly composed of several rhyming and silly tales. The tales are mostly told by the characters, Jack, Jill, Ted, and the turkeys of Turkey Hill. The books layout is similar to a simplified chapter book capturing the different voices of its characters. Many colorful synonyms such as horse-feathers, poppycock, dribble, and hogwash are spued about by turkey talking birds. The exceptional illustrations mimic collages that remind you that the pictures and tales are assembled fiction in the most creative way.

Autor

Robert Carr is a retired art teacher of thirty-five years and a recipient of the Golden Apple and Harold Grinspoon Awards for his contribution to education. Robert lives in Belchertown, Massachusetts. He spends much of his time with family and friends - real and imaginary. In retirement, he is mostly focused on writing and illustrating children's picture books. Picture books have always been a passion of his. Over many years he has been capturing ideas through writing and pictures and filing them away. At this date he hopes to entertain most of them and bring them to fruition. Nearing 100 book ideas, he has much exciting work ahead.Robert received an Associate Degree in Studio Painting from Holyoke Community College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree as a dual major in Studio Painting and Art Education at Massachusetts College of Art, and a Master's Degree in education from the University of Massachusetts.Robert began his teaching career working for the Town of South Hadley in Massachusetts. He worked there for nineteen years. He started as an elementary teacher and later worked as a middle school art teacher. He finished his teaching career working for Springfield Public Schools mostly as a Federal Magnet School resource teacher. His mission was to improve learning for students through arts integration.
