KEVIN THORPE has devoted much of his adult life to strengthening marriages and families. He has hosted numerous marriage retreats with titles such as "How To Get On The Love Boat and Stay Off The Titanic," "God's Promise of Miracle Marriages," and "'Meet' Me In The Bedroom." He holds an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, and master's degree in pastoral ministries. He has served as the senior pastor of Faith Church in Gainesville, Florida, since April 1998. His community and civic involvement have been extensive, serving dozens of local and statewide organizations. Kevin owns and operates The Captain's Closet, a custom clothing company that provides premium suits for a broad range of clients across the nation.He also knows first-hand what it is like to be a loving Christian and still find himself divorced after more than two decades of marriage to his high school sweetheart. His passion is to remove the stigma of divorce from Christians who have unsuccessfully fought in silence through a difficult and failing marriage. He is proudly married to Phoenicha J. Hires and welcomed the arrival of their first baby, Kevin W. Thorpe II, in April 2024.
